Tantric, erotic, nuru, body to body. When you first go through the menu of a Prague salon the names blur together, and the descriptions rarely tell you how the rituals actually differ. Yet the difference is quite concrete: it comes down to technique, pace and how much of the body is involved. In this guide we go through them one by one, and at the end you will find a simple way to choose.
Why the names are so confusing
Part of the confusion comes from the fact that three of those words describe entirely different kinds of thing. Tantra is an approach, not a technique. Nuru is a specific technique with a specific material. And erotic massage is the umbrella category that covers both.
The other part of the confusion is marketing. The word tantra sounds noble, so it turns up in places that have nothing to do with a tantric approach. We take tantra practically: it means a slow, conscious pace, work with the breath, and attention given to the whole body instead of one part of it. Most of our rituals grow out of that approach, but they differ in technique and intensity.
The practical consequence for you: do not choose by the name, choose by what you want to feel. The question is not "which tantra is best" but "do I want to glide, or do I want to slow down".
Classic erotic massage: the basic ritual
Classic erotic massage is our basic ritual and also the most common choice for a first visit. We lead it tantrically: after a shared shower your masseuse takes you to a futon in a private room, where warm oils, dimmed light and intuitive touch cover the whole body at a calm pace.
What defines it: the work is done with hands and forearms, with oil, and arousal arrives gradually as part of the whole rather than as a destination to be reached quickly. The intensity is balanced, without effects and without surprises.
Who it suits: guests coming to the studio for the first time, and anyone looking for a premium experience without excessive intensity. It is also the only ritual you can book here for up to 120 minutes, so it fits when you want a genuinely long evening with no clock in sight.
Tantric massage: the approach running through everything
Tantric massage is not a separate item in our price list, because it is a way of leading a session rather than a technique. You will feel it in its purest form during the classic erotic massage, which we ourselves describe as the basic tantric massage: slow touch, deep release, calm presence.
What defines it: a slow pace, pauses and attention to the breath. Once breathing calms and deepens, the body stops hurrying and starts registering even very subtle sensations that a fast massage would erase. That is exactly why a tantric session keeps echoing for days after the visit.
Who it suits: anyone able to stop for an hour. If you arrive thinking "let it move along quickly", the tantric approach will probably catch you out. If you arrive wanting an hour with nothing to solve, it fits you precisely.
We described the whole flow step by step, from the booking to the final shower, in a separate article on tantric massage.
Nuru massage: the Japanese technique with gel
Nuru massage is the easiest of the four to recognise, because it is defined by its material. The Japanese word "nuru" means slippery, and that is exactly the point: your masseuse spreads warmed seaweed gel over her body and yours and works with her whole body on a dedicated nuru surface.
What defines it: whole body contact without friction. The gel gives the skin almost no resistance, so touches merge into one uninterrupted stream and the brain stops analysing them. Nuru is therefore the most intense and most playful option in the regular range, even though the masseuse still sets the pace.
Who it suits: guests who already know that sensual touch works for them and want to go a step further. A newcomer will manage too, because there is nothing to do, but anyone not ready for it has a gentler entry in the classic erotic massage.
Nuru is also the only technique that needs a dedicated surface and considerably more gel than a regular massage uses oil, which shows in the price. We covered the full flow in our article on how a nuru massage runs.
Body to body massage: the middle step people forget
Body to body massage sits exactly between the classic and the nuru, and yet it is the one most often overlooked. Your masseuse works with her whole body in direct, conscious contact, but with warm oils instead of gliding gel and on a futon instead of a nuru surface.
What defines it: closeness without the gliding effect. Oil gives the skin a little resistance, so individual touches stay recognisable and the pace is slower and more deliberate than in nuru. It is the essence of tantric touch translated into whole body contact.
Who it suits: those who want a close, authentic experience without unnecessary effects. And also guests for whom nuru feels like too big a jump while the classic massage feels like too small a one.
And where lingam massage fits
Lingam massage belongs to the same family, just with a different centre of gravity. It is a tantric ritual focused on male energy, breath and conscious release, combining full body relaxation with targeted, respectful work in the intimate area. The session begins with a shower and continues on a futon with an emphasis on breath, presence and slowly building energy.
It differs from the classic erotic massage in having a clearly defined focus, and from nuru in using neither gel nor whole body contact. It can be booked up to 60 minutes and is intended for men looking for a deeper connection with their own body and with the tantric approach. We set out the whole flow step by step, along with the worries that circulate around it, in our article on what lingam massage is and how it runs.
A quick comparison in five points
- What does the massaging. Classic: hands and forearms with oil. Body to body: the whole body with oil. Nuru: the whole body with seaweed gel. Lingam: hands with oil and a defined focus.
- Where it happens. A futon in a private room for all of them except nuru, which has its own dedicated slippery surface.
- Pace. The tantric approach makes all of them slow; nuru is the most intense and most playful, the classic the most balanced.
- Lengths. Classic 30 to 120 minutes, nuru and body to body 30 to 90 minutes, lingam 30 to 60 minutes.
- Price per hour. Classic 1900 CZK, body to body 2000 CZK, nuru 2200 CZK, lingam 2300 CZK.
How what you feel differs
A technical description is one thing, the experience another. Guests who have tried several rituals here describe the differences roughly like this.
Classic erotic massage is closest to what you picture when you hear the word massage: recognisable strokes, pressure alternating with softness, the whole body gradually warming through. Attention travels across the body and you can follow it. Most guests fall asleep in their heads before their bodies.
Body to body massage adds weight. It is not only about hands but about someone genuinely lying on you, and for many people that is a stronger experience than any technique. Oil keeps the contact legible, so you know what is happening, and it is still far more intimate.
Nuru changes perception. Once friction disappears, the brain loses track of what exactly is touching it and simply reads the whole thing as one stream. Guests often describe an unusual double sensation: the body keeps getting more relaxed while every nerve stays wide awake.
Lingam massage differs from all three in having a direction. It is not a journey across the whole body but a gradual narrowing of attention, interleaved with breath and pauses. Anyone looking mainly for relaxation will pick a different ritual; anyone looking for intensity without the gliding effect will find it here.
Preparation is the same for every ritual
Whatever you choose, there is practically nothing to prepare. A shower is part of every visit, towels and shower products are on site, and so are the oils or the gel. You need to bring nothing at all.
A few small things still help. Leave the heavy meal for another day, because a full stomach is uncomfortable on a futon and on a nuru mattress alike. Skip the drink for courage, since it dulls exactly what you came for. And allow a time buffer before and after, because leaving deep relaxation straight for a meeting is a waste.
There is only one difference in preparation: if you know of an allergy to seaweed or you have very sensitive skin, mention it when you book a nuru massage. For the oil based rituals your masseuse will pick the oil according to what you tell her.
What to do if you choose wrong
Nothing dramatic happens. Pace and intensity can be adjusted at any point during the massage; just say you would like it slower, gentler or with more attention somewhere else. Your masseuse responds throughout and you will offend nobody.
What cannot be changed is the technique. Nuru happens on a dedicated surface and body to body on a futon, so a booked ritual does not get swapped for another halfway through. Next time, though, you will know exactly what to order, and no article can replace that experience.
How to choose by what you are looking for
The simplest route is to answer one question: what do you want from the visit above all?
- I want to find out whether this is for me. Classic erotic massage, 60 minutes. Balanced, no surprises, the cheapest way in.
- I mainly want to switch my head off. Classic erotic massage, but go straight for 90 or 120 minutes. The tantric approach needs time.
- I want the most intense experience. Nuru massage, ideally 60 or 90 minutes; a shorter slot cannot unfold the technique.
- I want closeness, but without gel. Body to body massage.
- I want focused tantric work. Lingam massage, 45 or 60 minutes.
- We are coming as a couple. Erotic massage for couples in one private room; nuru or body to body can be worked into a shared visit by arrangement.
If you are still unsure after all that, send us a few sentences when you book about what you are after. You will get a recommendation straight away and nobody will push you towards the pricier option.
Three misconceptions we hear most often
"Tantra is just another word for erotic massage." It is not. Erotic massage is a category, tantra is a way of leading a session. An erotic massage can be given quickly and mechanically or slowly and consciously, and that is precisely the difference you will notice here.
"Nuru is the same as body to body, only pricier." It is not. The difference between oil and nuru gel is not cosmetic: the gel removes friction almost entirely and by doing so changes the whole character of the touch. People who have tried both usually choose by mood, not by price.
"A longer massage is just more money." Every booking includes your arrival, the shower, a short conversation and a closing shower. In a 30 minute slot what is left for the touch itself is only a taster, and the body also relaxes gradually. You buy the longer time for depth, not for quantity.
What all the rituals have in common
Whatever you choose, the shape of the visit stays the same. Booking over WhatsApp, ideally at least two hours ahead, choosing the type of massage, the length and the masseuse. A drink on arrival and a short conversation in which you and your masseuse settle the pace and the boundaries. A shower, the ritual itself, a closing shower, and payment in cash or by card only after it ends.
What you get for the price is common to all of them too: a private room, towels and shower products, oils or gel, and an unhurried ending. And so is what you will not find here: the salon provides no sexual services, and the boundaries you agree on hold throughout, both ways.
The difference between the rituals is therefore not in how we treat you but in what you feel on your skin. If you want to know how these choices land in your wallet, we have a detailed price guide to erotic massage in Prague.
How to choose on a first visit
If we had to recommend one single thing: classic erotic massage, 60 minutes. It is the cheapest way to find out whether sensual touch suits you and still long enough for the body to relax. If you enjoy it, next time you can easily move either the length or the technique.
Message us on WhatsApp with the ritual and the length you want, and if you are unsure, just tell us what you are looking for. We will sort out the rest.
Frequently asked questions
What is the main difference between tantric and erotic massage?
Erotic massage is the umbrella category and tantra is the way it is led. A tantric approach means a slow pace, work with the breath and attention given to the whole body instead of one part of it. Most of our rituals grow out of it, the classic erotic massage most purely of all.
How does nuru massage differ from body to body massage?
By the material and the surface. Nuru uses seaweed gel on a dedicated slippery surface, body to body uses warm oils on a futon. The gel removes friction almost entirely so touches merge; oil leaves it in place, so they stay recognisable and the pace is more deliberate.
Which massage should I choose for a first visit?
Classic erotic massage, 60 minutes. It is the studio's basic ritual, the cheapest way in and still long enough for the body to relax. If it suits you, next time you can easily move either the length or the technique.
Is nuru massage suitable for a complete newcomer?
Yes. Your masseuse sets the pace throughout and there is nothing you need to know or do. Nuru is the most intense option in the regular range though, so if you are not ready for it, the classic erotic massage is a gentler entry into the same world.
Do the prices of the different types differ much?
Not dramatically. An hour of classic erotic massage costs 1900 CZK, body to body 2000 CZK, nuru 2200 CZK and lingam massage 2300 CZK. The gap between the cheapest and the priciest option is 400 CZK, so it makes sense to choose by experience rather than by price.
Can I combine the rituals?
Tell us what appeals to you when you book and we will work it out. Some elements can be folded into a visit, others need a different surface or more time, so we will tell you straight away what makes sense and what does not. A booking is always made under one ritual and one length.
Is lingam massage the same as erotic massage for men?
Not quite. Lingam massage is a tantric ritual with a clearly defined focus: it combines full body relaxation with targeted, respectful work in the intimate area and emphasises breath and slowly building energy. Anyone can book an erotic massage here, while lingam is intended for men and runs up to 60 minutes.
Which length should I pick?
For a first visit, 60 minutes. Every booking includes your arrival, the shower, a short conversation with your masseuse and a closing shower, so a 30 minute slot leaves only a taster for the touch itself. For nuru and the couples ritual, where the opening takes longer, 90 minutes makes sense straight away.
Do these massages include sexual services?
No. The Tantra Prague salon provides no sexual services of any kind. All the rituals are sensual massages with boundaries you agree at the start and which hold throughout, both ways. Entry is permitted only to persons over 18 years of age.
